Bookstore Manger – Full Time
Requirements:

Ability to work in a team environment and relate easily with diverse consumers.

Foster a cooperative work environment including integration of community volunteers.

Willingness and aptitude to learn computer programs and accounting systems

Familiarity with Quickbooks and ability to produce profit and loss reports.
-
Must have a high level of digital and physical organizational skills.

Must be able to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.

Responsibilities:
-
Maintain a professional relationship with all vendors.
-
Orchestrating inventory of all books and non-book items on a periodic basis.
-
Prepare all Quickbooks/Booklog operational reports.
-
Prepare and administer a budget in conjunction with board members.
-
Prepare and pay monthly sales taxes.
-
Pay all invoices and bills in a timely manner.
-
Work the floor in conjunction with the bookstore manager, including cash register. duties (sales, special orders, customer and vendor relations).
-
Attend Board meetings. Be prepared to bring operational reports and make proactive recommendations for improvement.

Oversee store appearance and cleanliness, including office and cash register area.
-
Assist Events/Marketing Coordinator.

Manage volunteers.

Pay Rate: $15-20/hour
